Vote

Hey you! Yes you, friend. Are you registered to vote in Washington State?

ARE YOU:

  • A citizen of the United States?
  • A legal resident of Washington State?
  • At least 18 years old by election day?

Yes, yes and yes? Well, then, the time is ripe for you to get registered! And fortunately for you, you live in the beautiful Evergreen State, which is one of only TWO states in the country where you can now register to vote online. That’s right. ONLINE VOTER REGISTRATION. You’re already online, so jump on over to the Secretary of State’s Online Voter Registration website now. It’s so easy, even your dog could do it (not that we’re encouraging your dog to register to vote, because that’s illegal).

If you’re not sure if you’re registered, you can check on MyVote (check it out – it’s a cool website). Your previous voter registration may still be active, even if you haven’t voted recently. Check yourself…Another cool piece of info – if you’ve moved but you’re still in the same county, you can update your registration using MyVote. If you’ve moved to a different county, you can update your address using the “Online Voter Registration website.

WHY REGISTER TODAY?

There’s no same day voter registration here in the Evergreen State (not like our neighbors in Idaho), and the deadline for registering or transferring your voter registration is 30 days before an election. So, do it today!
